PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION FROM HOLLY CLARK
"This is a show about me, Holly, a dyspraxic living in this neurotypical world. Expect some joy, some frustration and rather a lot of exaggerated arm movements. You also may learn about what dyspraxia actually is. Well, for me anyway".

PROJECT
This is one of my favourite productions to work on. Through out the entire production process, I, along with various other creatives, were deeply involved in the production process as a whole. The production, being somewhat abstract, including soundscapes, audience participation and expressionistic movement was a deeply thrilling creative challenge. One I hope to relive with Holly again in the future.
THE DESIGN
My design for this production was ever-changing. Morphing and altering as the production itself altered and changed order constantly throughout the rehearsal and R&D process.
My design incorporated both conventional and intelligent technology and techniques to create a flexible lighting design that was able to be translated between venue types while maintaining the ability to create strange and abstract moments, combined with elements of clear naturalism that popped up from time to time.
The design was based on reflecting what Holly was experiencing in her mind and projecting to the audience how she felt, and how she was thinking and reflecting such things as a feeling of being alone and disconnected.
Furthermore, as a designer, I needed to be highly flexible in accommodating different versions of the same production design as different venues held different limitations, capabilities and other attributes such as venue size and simple but somewhat major aspects such as one of the venues were painted completely white (in contrast to other more specialised venues such as the Wolverhampton Arena), causing issues for me, which I swiftly overcame.
This was a deeply creative process and I am very grateful to Holly for her allowing me to be so free as a designer in reflecting her fantastic production.
